The latest edition of the Donau Soja Market Report reviews the 2026 European crop outlook, non-GM price developments and supply conditions in Europe and Ukraine.

Donau Soja forecasts EU-27 soya production at 2.4 million tonnes, around 20% below 2025, potentially the lowest output in a decade. The European Commission’s latest crop-monitoring bulletin puts average EU yields at 2.26 t/ha, 15% below the five-year average. Hot and dry summer conditions weakened crop prospects, while late-August rainfall came too late to offset the losses. Poland is a notable exception, with production forecast to rise.

Ukraine’s soya outlook remains stronger than much of the EU, but regional yield differences and logistics continue to pose supply risks. Non-GM soya prices in southern Germany rose above 530 EUR/t in September, reaching a multi-year high. Availability is beginning to improve as the new crop enters the market and additional meal imports arrive.
