On 11 June 2026, Donau Soja held its annual General Assembly and Networking Event at the Reitersaal of the Oesterreichische Kontrollbank in Vienna. Decision-makers and experts from over 21 countries came together to discuss the future of Europe’s protein supply.
The afternoon brought three panels covering the issues that matter most to the sector right now: shifts in Europe’s protein market driven by EU policy and geopolitical developments; the impact of changing climatic conditions on soya production and how farmers are adapting; and the growth of soya- and legume-based products and meat alternatives in the European market.
Speakers included representatives from the European Commission, ADM, IDDRI, Al Dahra Serbia, SOJbeam, and The New Originals Company, alongside Donau Soja’s own experts presenting practical tools on carbon footprint, EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) compliance, and field-level agronomic support.
