On 18–19 June 2026, the Fat & Oil Industry 2026 European Edition took place in Varna, Bulgaria, as part of the 25th International Conference Fat & Oil Industry 2026, organised by APK-Inform.
The European Edition focused on trading and technologies amid growing global competition for the EU market. The programme addressed geopolitical shifts in trade flows, trends in the global oilseed sector, the outlook for the 2026/27 season, EU–MERCOSUR trade prospects, the European oilseed and meal markets, logistics to the EU, and the impact of EU biofuel policy on vegetable oil trade.
Donau Soja was present at the event in Bulgaria, represented by Volodymyr Pugachov, Executive Director of Donau Soja in Eastern Europe, and Ela Malai, Director Donau Soja branch in Republic of Moldova. Volodymyr Pugachov contributed with a presentation on EU requirements for soybean processing products and regulatory challenges for the sector, highlighting the importance of compliance, transparency, and market readiness for regional operators.
The event brought together processors, traders, agricultural producers, technology providers, and equipment manufacturers from Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and other European and Asian markets.
