Donau Soja Network Review

NETWORKING EVENT – 12 SEP 2023, VIENNA

15 REASONS TO CHOOSE DONAU SOJA / EUROPE SOYA

S as in standard,
S as in science-based targets,
S as in super soya!

The Donau Soja team has come up with a unique and enjoyable approach to present the organisation and our work at the latest Networking Event.
In a series of 15 concise flash presentations, each beginning with the letter ‘S’, we unravelled the world of Donau Soja in style. From “Servus Super Soya” over “stop deforestation” to “solution” we listed 15 reasons why it is beneficial to collaborate with Donau Soja and work on physical flow projects with regionally produced, deforestation-free, conversion-free and non-GM soya certified to our standards.

FISHBOWL DISCUSSION

After the presentation of the 15 Donau Soja statements, we opened the stage for a discussion with the audience. This was done in a new and innovative format called “Fishbowl”. A discussion format that allows an interactive discussion with all participants. Each guest had the opportunity to take a seat in the Fishbowl circle of chairs and participate in the discussion.

Many interesting topics were discussed, such as:

  • Are businesses prepared for the new EU deforestation regulation?
  • The urgent need for “first movers”
  • Supply and logistics of soya
  • Soya as feed (egg, pork, chicken) and food
  • Threat of greenwashing
  • Perspective of Ukrainian farmers
  • How to fulfil consumer expectations

DONAU SOJA EXPERT TALKS

Donau Soja experts Christoph Müller and Bertalan Kruppa gave interesting insights on current policy topics and an update on the soya market.
