One European Soya Standard

1 October, 2026

The Donau Soja Standard and the Europe Soya Standard are merging into one unified standard for European crops. The unified standard is intended to provide one European reference standard, thereby strengthening supply chain stability, increasing availability and reducing administrative work. Going forward, the name Europe Soya will be used for all certifications.

From harvest 2026, most certificates are already being issued under Europe Soya, with the Donau Soja certification system set to end in September 2027. Donau Soja certificates with expiry dates between September 2026 and September 2027 remain valid until their expiry date but will be renewed as Europe Soya. Anyone to remain with Donau Soja during this ongoing transition phase should inform Donau Soja and their certification body, and coordinate their choice with customers and suppliers.

Customers who require Europe Soya can also source Donau Soja-certified goods.
