Learning on the field: Regenerative agriculture tour in Croatia

27 May, 2025

Group of farmers in a green field in Croatia learning about regenerative agriculture practices during a Donau Soja visit

On 10 June 2025, Donau Soja will host a practical study visit for farmers from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, focusing on regenerative farming methods.

The one-day programme will provide participants with valuable insights into key regenerative practices, including conservation tillage and no-till systems, the use of cover crops, and strategies to reduce chemical inputs. These approaches play a critical role in improving soil health, increasing biodiversity, and enhancing long-term productivity and environmental resilience.

Who better to learn from, than peers that already use the methods: Farmers will visit arable farms in Croatia that have already successfully adopted regenerative techniques and are achieving promising results. Through direct dialogue and knowledge exchange, farmers will share experiences and explore how these practices can be adapted to their local conditions.

This activity is part of the Strategic Partnership between Donau Soja and the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), supporting the transition towards sustainable and resilient agriculture in South-Eastern and Eastern Europe.
