Donau Soja’s Protein Partnership Programme nominated for the Sustainable Impact Awards Ukraine 2025

We are pleased to share excellent news: Donau Soja Organisation has been nominated for the Sustainable Impact Awards Ukraine 2025, one of the country’s key recognitions for forward-looking and high-impact sustainability initiatives. 

The jury selected the Protein Partnership Programme as one of the most effective and inspiring sustainable projects currently implemented in Ukraine. According to the official statement of the Award Committee, “The project and activities of the participant are an example of leadership, innovation, and contribution to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and shaping a sustainable future for Ukraine.” This nomination reflects the growing recognition of our work in supporting Ukrainian farmers, strengthening local value chains, and promoting sustainable, verified deforestation & conversion-free, non-GM soya production and processing, with a low CO2 footprint. 

Over the past three years, the Protein Partnership Programme has covered more 25 % of certified non-GM soybeans in Ukraine, making it one of the largest sustainability-driven soya initiatives in the region. The programme is supported by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) within the framework of our long-standing Strategic Partnership. 

Through the Protein Partnership Programme, Donau Soja Organisation continues to invest in capacity building, technical support, and sustainable practices that help align Ukraine’s agricultural sector with EU standards and recognised sustainability frameworks. 

Donau Soja Team is honored by the organisers of the award – ASDE and remains committed to advancing a resilient to advancing a resilient, transparent and sustainable protein supply across in Europe for Europe.
