Donau Soja contributes significantly to the UN SDGs

14 November, 2023

On 25 September, Donau Soja published a report on how its activities and certification programme align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The report is based on an assessment conducted by Donau Soja Organisation and Sustainable Food Systems (SFS) Switzerland. It shows how Donau Soja contributes significantly to the Sustainable Development goals due to its systemic approach directed at a sustainable, safe and European protein supply. Overall, it concludes that Donau Soja contributes to all 17 SDGs and to 47% of the 169 targets.

Intended as a business guidance, the report also helps Donau Soja members and partners to report on their impact towards the SDGs. For example, members and partners contribute to the SDGs through participating in Donau Soja activities and incorporating Donau Soja / Europe Soya certified soya into their supply chains. Let us join forces and work together for the much-needed shift towards increased efficiency, fairness and sustainability in European food and feed protein value chains.
