On October 24–25, the Angromix-77 factory, which produces tofu and other soya products in cooperation with Prograin Organic, hosted an important visit from two experts from China specialising in modern soya product processing technologies. The experts’ mission was to evaluate the entire tofu production process and provide technical advice on optimising the technological flow, providing applicable recommendations aimed at aligning the production process with high food safety standards, improving the quality of the finished product, reducing production costs by optimising resource consumption and improving energy efficiency of the technological process, which will contribute to continuous modernisation of processes and increased competitiveness of Moldovan products on the domestic and international markets.
The visit of the Chinese experts was facilitated by the Donau Soja organisation, as part of the project “Strengthening the agri-food sector in South-Eastern and Eastern Europe through the production, use, and consumption of sustainable, traceable, and non-genetically modified crops,” implemented with the support of the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), thus promoting responsible cultivation of non-GM soybeans and support the development of sustainable value chains for producers and processors in the region.
