Europe needs a stronger, more competitive and resilient protein system. The Donau Soja Congress addresses this challenge and will examine the strategic decisions, investments and partnerships needed to unlock the potential of European protein production and connect policy ambitions with business reality.
Congress Outline
Bringing together leaders and decision-makers from business, agriculture, policy, research and civil society, the Congress will provide a central platform for strategic dialogue on sustainable protein supply, resilient agri-food value chains and Europe’s future protein security.
With a particular focus on the Three Seas Region, the Congress will highlight its potential for sustainable and climate-resilient protein production. Connecting the Baltic, Adriatic and Black Seas, the region encompasses some of Europe’s most important agricultural production areas, markets and logistics corridors—and has a central role to play in strengthening Europe’s food and protein resilience.
What to expect
Over two days, the Congress will address the future of Europe’s food and protein systems, including:
- sustainable and climate-resilient protein production;
- resilient food, feed and livestock value chains;
- processing, logistics and infrastructure;
- markets, trade, policy and investment;
- cooperation across the Three Seas Region.
The programme will combine high-level discussions, practical perspectives, business exchange and networking.
The programme is currently being developed in consultation with Donau Soja members, partners and institutional stakeholders. Speakers and detailed sessions will be announced progressively.
