Donau Soja Field Days 2018 in Romania

Turda

On July 26th, 2018, with the occasion of the 5th edition of the demonstrative platform for soybean growing technology, the Field Day was organized by the Donau Soja Association in partnership with the Agricultural Research and Development Station Turda.

The event was attended by 140 participants from Romania, Republic of Moldova, Spain, Serbia, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Italy and Russia: farmers, Donau Soja members, agriculture authorities, research and academic representatives agriculture journalists and other interested stakeholders.


Secuieni

For four consecutive years the Donau Soja Association organized the demo platform for soybeans at the Agricultural Research and Development Station Secuieni. The results of the experiences from the demo platform are relevant for soybean areas with deficit of precipitations.

The Field Day was held on August 2nd, 2018 and gathered together 125 participants: farmers, Donau Soja members, agriculture authorities, research and academic representatives, agriculture journalists and other interested stakeholders. The event was also attended by a delegation from the Republic of Moldova made up of farmers and Donau Soja project staff. The visit of the farmers' group and representatives of Donau Soja from the Republic of Moldova was supported by the EU/ADA project "Development of rural areas in the Republic of Moldova (DevRAM)" funded by the European Union.


Fetești

The 5th edition of the demonstrative platform for soybean growing technology was established by the Donau Soja Association at commercial farm Agrichim Fetești. The location is relevant for growing soybeans under irrigation.

The Field Day was organized on August 9th, 2018 and was visited by 150 participants from Romania, Republic of Moldova, France, Italy and Spain: farmers, Donau Soja members, agriculture authorities, research and academic representatives, agriculture journalists and other interested stakeholders. At the event had been present farmers and Donau Soja project staff from the Republic of Moldova due to the support of the EU/ADA project "Development of rural areas in the Republic of Moldova (DevRAM)" funded by the European Union.
