Soybean delegation from Moldova visits Austria
Donau Soja invited from 6-10 November two agricultural delegations from Moldova to visit Austria. This visit received support from a EU project grant. For further information please read below.
European Soybean Breeders Network (ESBN) in Tulln, Austria on 6 November 2018
On 6 November, three Moldovan soybean breeders (Mrs. Maria Iacobuta, Mr. Victor Ungureanu from the research scientific Institute for Fiedl Crops ICCC “Selectia”, Mr. Alexandr Budac from the Institute of Genetics, Physiology and Plant Protection of the Moldovan Academy of Sciences (GPPP) and Mr. Boris Babayan from the Pridnestrovian Research Institute of Agriculture) participated to the European Soybean Breeders Network (ESBN) meeting in BOKU University Research Cente in Tulln on November 6.
Prof. Johann Vollmann from BOKU and Dr Jegor Milandinovic (Insitute of Field and Vegetable Crops, Novi Sad) chaired this international meeting with 32 representatives from enterprises and research institutions from 10 countries.
Study tour from 6 – 10 November 2018
A group of Moldovan farmers and enterprises visited this week also some sites in Austria to obtain insights on pattern of Austrian soybean farming and value-added soybean products.

This activity was organised in the framework of the EU funded project “Increasing the competitiveness of the agri-food sector through integration to domestic and global value chains in particular in the soya sector”, implemented by ADA in partnership with Donau Soja and ProDidactica NGO in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment and Ministry of Education, Culture and Research of the Republic of Moldova.
