Where do I find Donau Soja & Europe Soya products?
EGG PRODUCTION IN AUSTRIA
The supermarket chains REWE, Spar, and Hofer – all three being members of Donau Soja Association – sell more than 350 million eggs per year. Since November 2013, these eggs come from hens which have been fed exclusively on European soya. Hence, more than 3,400 Austrian supermarkets are offering Donau Soja certified eggs, thereby contributing to promote European agriculture and reduce CO2 emissions.
Thus you will find Donau Soja eggs in the shelves of the following supermarket chains: REWE (Billa, Merkur), Spar, Penny and Hofer.
PORK PRODUCTION IN AUSTRIA
On 10 July 2017 TANN from Spar Austria launched the new animal welfare-brand “Tann für mehr Tierwohl”, that ensures at least 60% more space, straw bedding and GMO-free Donau Soja. The pork meat products are available in all Spar Austria supermarkets.
Since January 2018, Lidl Austria has pork products with the Donau Soja Label in the assortment in Western Austria. Feeding with Donau Soja is part of the voluntary additional certifications to the AMA- Gütesiegel for special feeding and more animal welfare in pig farming.
CHICKEN PRODUCTION IN SWITZERLAND
Since December 2013, the UFA poultry feed plant in Sursee has processed Donau Soja. This produce has been used in the Coop Group's Coop Naturafarm (CNf) programme since the spring of 2014. Hence, since the end of 2014, Coop has offered chicken meat which is Donau Soja certified.
Also Geflügelhof Teichweiden in the east of Germany counts on certified European soya for its laying hen feed. Eggs labelled with "fed with Europe Soya" are available regional supermarkets and local grocery stores.
