Polish Association of Rapeseed and Protein Crop Producers - Krajowe Zrzeszenie Producentow Rzepaku i Roslin Bialkokwych (KZPRiRB)

The Polish Association of Rapeseed and Protein Crop Producers is the only Poland-wide trade organization that brings together rapeseed and protein crop producers. The Association was established in order to represent, as well as to protect the rights and interests of rapeseed and protein crop producers. Its activities promote and assist crop production, and the well-being and security of farmers. KZPRiRB is committed to improving knowledge within the area in respect to growing, breeding, and agricultural technology regarding rapeseed and protein crops. This is reflected in their organization of training programs and demonstration fields, as well as in interesting conferences. They also inform members about current events in agriculture with their quarterly newsletter Nasz Rzepak (Our Rapeseed).

The Polish Association of Rapeseed and Protein Crop Producers [KZPRiRB] undertakes these challenges with the aim to:

  • guarantee profitability of rapeseed and protein crop production in Poland
  • increase rapeseed and protein crop production
  • stabilize rapeseed and protein trade
  • protect and represent the interests of rapeseed and protein crop producers

The activities of the Polish Association of Rapeseed and Protein Crop Producers [KZPRiRB] aim at ensuring profitability of rapeseed and protein crop production:

  • to work towards maintaining the demand for rapeseed as biofuels until 2020 and thereafter
  • to participate in the crop selection work of the Research Centre for Cultivar Testing [COBORU]
  • to address threats such as withdrawal of seed dressings or other crop protection products connected with rapeseed and protein crop production
  • to cooperate with scientific centers in relation to the use of meal and cake, as well as other protein plants for animal husbandry on internal markets produced in our country and in Europe at large
  • to cooperate with agricultural organizations form other EU countries
  • to participate in the legislative procedure as part of public consultation, as well as in all other domestic and European discussions that concern a broadly conceived range of issues connected with commercial farms
  • to participate, by means of various activities including the media, in the process of shaping rapeseed and protein crop prices
