Poringer based in Ried im Innkreis, has been one of the leading Austrian firms marketing fresh eggs and producing eggs for Easter for over 60 years - with a pool of century-long experience, modern technology and qualified employees.

The company was established in 1950 and is since then privately owned by the family “Poringer”. We have 45 employees, during easter season up to 60 employees. We deliver eggs to a wide range of Austrian supermarkets, wholesalers, retailers and hotels.

The egg packing plant is certificated at the higher level in accordance with the IFS (International Food Standard), the strictest European standard for foodstuffs hygiene and product safety, which demonstrates the superior quality of eggs from Poringer.

The product range includes:

  • Fresh eggs from all methods of farming: 
    • free-range organic eggs, free-range eggs, barn egg
  • Colored Eggs for Easter
  • Hard-boiled eggs for all over the year
  • Packaging material

Selling fresh eggs is the main business. The eggs come from Austrian farms producing according to strict quality assurance programs, such as „AMA-Gütesiegel“ and „non-gmo with Danube Soja“.

As the complete supply chain is done by ourselves (transport and distribution, grading, packaging, labelling…) we have good control of the products and quality we deliver. Perfect storage conditions and short transportation times are important.

Our egg grading and packing machine has a capacity of 120.000 eggs/hour. Leaker, crack, dirt and blood are detected fully automatically.
